      <title>My Son's SIM card has stopped working</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;My son had an old phone that broke a while back and for his birthday we got him a new (to him) iphone - but the SIM card doesn't. Not sure what to do....&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://community.ee.co.uk/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/4760831"&gt;@Lucy1234321&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp; If it’s been over 3 months since it was last used it’s gone in to hibernation and you’ll need to call customer support to get it reactivated. If it’s gone over 9 months since last used you’ll need to get a new sim and that will have a new number. &amp;nbsp; A sim has to be used to retain the number because after 9 months its deemed as no longer in use and the number is taken back to be recycled&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Just to clarify, is your son's line a PAYG one? Advice so far is assuming that.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Pay-monthly will be a different answer.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
