New EE contract. When do my allowances/billing start?

If i buy a new EE sim deal now but don't want to activate it or start using it for another month, is that possible?

So if I order the sim today, my allowances/billing start today and I have 14 days from today to cancel if I wanted to?

I've been with the likes of voxi and smarty for too long so I've forgotten how 'normal' contracts work.

The contract and plan starts when the order is processed, @speedy28-18. Usually within 24 hours of the order.

Is this the case with a pay monthly rolling contract as I had to wait for the sim to be sent out? I only got the contract to use the £10 roaming add on as I'm going away for about 3 weeks but couldn't use my "normal" three contract in that country. I ask as I would only like to pay for the month I need it but will be a few days short of the end of my trip if it activated when purchased online.

@Upthegun Yes. As your agreeing to a contract even 30 day rolling contracts and that starts when you take out that contract,

When Is the first bill due? My existing contract finishes 4th April with old provider. I want my billing date to be 28th of the month

When did you start your contract with EE?

You will get your first bill around seven days after joining EE, this will be a paper bill delivered to your home address.

If you wish to change your bill date, please give us a call.

@Laney_1981 you’ll be billed within seven days of receiving the SIM card. This will be for the time you’ve had the Sim card from and for the month ahead, but you can change the billing date after the first bill.
