SIM Replacements done in-store with the correct ID (Valid UK Driving Licence, or any Book-style Passport) are usually activated instantly, but I believe this can sometimes take up to 24 hours in exceptional circumstances.

Hello I’ve got a ESIM in my 16 pro max but looking at going back to a normal sim as it’s easier to transfer to new phones, so if I go in a store with my ID to transfer my eSIM to normal sim will I have working sim that day or will I have to wait while it all gets activated and all that and potentially be without services for a day or so? Thanks

@Gareth43 , it is easy to move the ESim on an IPhone, as it asks you when you get a new phone, I had a phsycal SIM card and was going to put that in my phone once set up, but it asked whether I wanted to use the ESIM when transferring everything over, and accidentally said yes, so now have ESIM, but I would just get a replacement SIM card if I wanted a physical SIM card.
