I would stick with 02. EE have been nothing but a let down. They were something back when I joined 10+ years ago but now there's just constant signal drop outs slow data speeds and when I made a report on the matter I was told I would get a call back from there team but it never happened. They like to Palm you off with free data etc but what good is that if you can't use it lol.

Think carefully before making the change.

On a national basis, the opposite would be broadly true.

This sounds like an entirely localised issue and is not a reflection of the network on a national level. (although there is no context provided as this is your only post on these forums, we would be happy to try and help figure out the cause of your issues)

I can say as a previous customer of the other network you've mentioned above, my experience on EE has been considerably better (both from a network performance and a customer care POV) in multiple towns and cities. Previous network had many of the problems you've stated above, but I understood why that was and I was willing to move to get myself a better service after testing the connection in my area.

There are absolutely areas where the EE network is not as good as another, but the same could be said for any other network. If there was one network that was perfect everywhere, we would all be on it.

Your experience is your experience and the above is mine. Networks differ.

In future try to avoid making such blanket statements without context, or preface your comments with the issues you've encountered in your area.

I’m new to EE and was in a similar boat to you but with Three. I had problems when porting though in fairness I think they were down to simple human misunderstanding and maybe comms that could have been clearer. I had problems receiving OTPs. I had been told the port was complete and successful so expected things to be ok. Naturally I followed up and felt I was fobbed off with no explanation. I made a complaint and the actual port process was explained. It can take a few days for all the “bits” to sort themselves out. That has happened now. I found the deal from EE was a good one, my signal strength, network coverage and data connection have all been fine for my needs so far.

Based on my experience I’d say make the move if you feel it’s a good deal for you but be prepared to give it a few days before everything settles down around the number port. I could make/receive calls, texts etc within 24 hours no problem. It was just the OTP from organisations including EE that took a couple of days for me.
