Verification codes not received

Hi,

I also moved over from Three a week ago and ported my number. I am also experiencing issues receiving verification codes via SMS. Initially no SMS were coming through, then spoke to your technical team and they reset my phone and now SMS come through but with a 12hr+ time delay.

What's the solution?

Is this happening with more than one company? Have you restarted your phone since you contacted the team and had the reset?

Yes it's happening with multiple companies - Microsoft being one of them.

@AngeloM007 Thanks for confirming, at this point it will require further investigation from our technical team as it will require account access to run some checks.

If possible though I would try the SIM in another phone to test receiving a text to rule out the delay being caused by the phone itself, as if it is trying a backup and then full factory reset may resolve.

Try sending a text to your own number, see how long that takes to arrive

Hi, It seems to have sorted itself out. In my eyes it's just taken time - about a week - for the SMS to come through when they're sent. As mentioned, for anyone else who has this problem, I spoke with the EE customer support team and they reset my phone. It then took about 5 days for the SMS to finally come though when triggered by the 3rd party. Thanks

Hello, I am trying to create a WhatsApp account with my EE sim but it keeps telling me number not available try in 1 hour and it frustrating but I can receive other messages but just WhatsApp

please I need quick help and solution

If you are recieving all other messages fine except from Whatsapp, have you tried the steps on their help page here for issues registering your number, if you are not getting a text is there not an option for Call me to get it via a call? Can't complete registration | WhatsApp Help Center
