That’s the thing, 2 years ago my Dad spoke to them as he was changing the billing to my details. We thought the person we spoke to was changing the ownership but we are not sure it has. I can make purchases if I want on the account but it still says in settings ‘Parental controls’ and some things I’m not eligible to click on such as certain phone deals, so I think it still is tied to him. Though it says I can upgrade. Would it be a good idea to order the phone, have him try to login to change the plan and then go about the ownership/account holder? As I know there is a 3 month turnaround.

Hello,

I currently have an iPhone 12 which 2 year contract (paying for phone and plan) just expired. I want to buy a new phone outright and put my current sim in that, is that something that can be done? I will need to change my plan but when I go to do that it thinks I am moving to the network and requesting a PAC code. This may be because when I first was with EE I was too young to have a data plan and so my Dad did it, I am now the bill payer and we thought we sorted out ownership of the account but now I’m not so sure, and so it might think that I am a new customer or is just a formality. Would this be something that he would have to do? Any help is appreciated, thank you.

When you say you "sorted out ownership", who is the account holder?

You can put your existing SIM in any phone you choose - this is how SIM-only plans work with SIM-free phones.

If you log into your account and select to download the PDF version of your bill, does it show your name or your dad's on the address label in the top left?
