Welcome to the community. 🙂

Have you managed to get through to our Customer Care team to look into this? Are you on contract or pay as you go? It's unusual that you'd be given a PAC to transfer from one EE line to another, because you can't directly do that.

Is there a delay in getting a new mobile number?

I contacted EE to request a new number. They asked for a PAC code (i think that's what they called it?).

I'm still waiting for my new number to be activated, so unable to make or receive any communications given my old number is no longer working.

Any help appreciated - thank you!

About me: 28, nearly always slightly frustrated, sleep deprived, bi-polar hypomanic, tea drinker.

A PAC is short for Porting Authority Code and is used for transferring a mobile number between different providers.

Confusing further, because I was with EE with my previous number, so i wasn't switching network (only requesting a new number).

Probably the most frustrating thing is having to wait hours for a response from EE. I get things must be busy, but to be told 'approx wait is 1 hour' and it being 5 hours later... grrrrr... frustraing! keep checking my phone to see if they've replied.
