Using an E Sim for dual numbers: Uk and NZ

I have I phone 11 Pro and a monthly plan with EE.

Am currently in New Zealand and want to add my NZ e sim into my UK phone so both numbers are in the phone.

The NZ network provider has been unable to do this. How can I know if my UK phone is locked ?

EE phone service does not work from overseas

I think if you go into "Settings > General > About" there will be a section for Network Provider Lock and this will show as No SIM Restrictions if the phone is unlocked.
