Your new EE SIM will have a temporary number assigned when you first receive it. If a PAC was supplied as part of the order, that will be submitted when you first activate the new SIM onto EE's network.

A port-in date will be set then, usually the following working day. This assumes activation during normal working hours - if during the evening, add an extra working day to these timescales.

Hi I’m getting in a pickle. I’ve tried customer services but they couldn’t help. Ordered new sim only on Friday. I added my PAC code to the order as leaving Vodafone. It said a switch would take 1-3 working days. Email confirmation said 1 day for number to be ported.

new SIM card hasn’t arrived so no I need to give it til Wednesday, but what do I do? Put new sim in phone once it arrives to activate? I have already supplied ee with the pac code so how do they know when the sim has arrived and to transfer?

im panicking as i go abroad on Friday (until sunday) and feel very worried about it not being sorted out on time. I called my local ee store and asked if I could just collect a sim from them and they help me but they said no.

Once you put the SIM in the phone & use it, the no. should port within 1 working day. You need to activate it in UK to be able to use it abroad.
