No service on EE sim

I’ve just upgraded my phone from the I phone 14 to the iPhone 16 pro I’ve done what I believe needed to be done but now I have no service. I used the same sim from my I phone 14, but it doesn’t work on my new upgrade. I haven’t received a new sim with my upgrade. I’ve put the sim back into my i phone 14 and it works fine. i’ve taken the sim out and put it into my iphone 16 and it doesn’t work but my 14 has signal and data with not sim inside. I’ve tried turning the 16 off and on and it still doesn’t work.

If the SIM still works in your old phone, that's clearly not the problem.

Can your new phone see EE's network if you perform a manual network search? Or connect to WiFi-calling?

Could you be using an eSIM and you just left the old physical SIM in the phone that doesn't do anything?
