I have switched from three to EE but am yet to receive a new sim card, i’m wondering if the new contract will work on the old sim or wether i will actually receive a new sim card.

All EE users need an EE SIM. New customers receive a new EE SIM, a 3UK SIM can't access the EE network.

Once you have an EE SIM, you can change price-plans without changing SIM.

As @bristolian has mentioned, you would need an EE SIM card.

When did you place your order?

If you've already provided your PAC code when signing up, your number will transfer to your new EE SIM card the next working day after inserting and activating your new EE SIM card.
