Just switched from Sky - number not ported across yet

Hi. Swapped new EE sim onto existing iphone having done the transfer number PAC from Sky.

It's been a couple of hours since and phone is working but with the new sim number not my original number I want to keep. Does this process take time for EE to port or should it change instantly?

Followed the hints on turning Messaging and Facetime on/off, typed in my original number into Phone setting but doesn't change. Help!

Your new EE SIM will have a temporary number assigned when you first receive it. If a PAC was supplied as part of the order, that will be submitted when you first activate the new SIM onto EE's network.

A port-in date will be set then, usually the following working day. This assumes activation during normal working hours - if during the evening, add an extra working day to these timescales.

Phoned EE on 150 and the automated service sent me a text so I could reply with my pac code. Now got a time/date for the number transfer - 1 day 🤞
