Recently had an EE Sim 3 days ago yet until now, 4th day, still NOT GETTING 3G/4G signal. All I get is 'NETWORK UNAVAILABLE'!

I've checked on the Coverage Checker. It shows 'Good Coverage'!!

I've switched OFF and ON my mobile phone; took out the sim and put the sim back, still NO Service Signal.

Gilbert

The 3G network has been switched off nationally since January. 2G is now the fallback should the base-4G service not be available.

Sounds like you've used the "check coverage" option on the webtool, not the "check status" option that's more suited to "is there a problem in my area" queries.

If your phone has never had coverage since having a new SIM, the issue could be account-related - which would require a call to CS from another phone, to resolve.

The 3 G service hasn't been switched off nationally since January. I still have if in Milton Keynes, Bedford & Northants area.

Yesterday it dropped for a few hours & is doing it today as I've received texts & a call in that time. I have been trying to find out when EE are going to drop 3G in my area but the coverage enquiry blandly just reports 4G is all lovely & no 3G info or specific dates are mention. The service is useful as a chocolate teapot.

If other networks are being used as carriers & therefore prolonging the EE coverage it'd be nice to know.
