I have just recieved a new sim card for my sons phone as his last one was deactivated as he wasnt using his phone for some time. Now i cannot activate his new sim without the code being sent to the old one as it no longer works. Is there another way to do this without having to ring up. Absolutey ridiculous why make it so difficult just to activate a sim card. Can someone help me please? Thank you

@Lucinda8 it’s a new sim not a replacement sim so he has a new number. You can get back the old number is the sim was deactivated. You don’t need a code sent to the old sim/number. Try restarting the device a few times.

If the old sim was only in hibernation you only need to call customer service to get it reactivated. After 9 months of no use it’s fully deactivated hence a new sim/number
