All EE SIMs are multi-technology and support all the "G" that EE use.

Your access to particular radio technologies is dictated by the plan you have, as long as you have a pay-monthly EE SIM.

What number was this call from?

Had a call the other day to send out a new 5G Sim. Just tried to track the order on the app and it's saying it's not a valid account number. Is this a legitimate thing that all 4G sims are getting upgraded to 5G. They seemed to know so much like what I paid for my last bill which isn't the norm due to changing payment dates. Bit concerned now I won't lie

It just came through as -EE- and said 'Hi from EE. Your PIN is ****. If
you're not currently discussing your account with us, please call 0800 079
8586. Thanks.' when they sent the pin.

That's a genuine OTP message sent to further verify you when you are speaking to an EE-CS agent. If you are doing so, pass the PIN to the agent. If you're not, then someone else may be trying to gain access to your account and I recommend you follow the advice in the message to report it.

I also got a text later from one named EE instead of -EE- as spoke to two different people as the first one called me whilst busy in work which went like 'Enter this PIN to continue your EE Journey: ******. This PIN will expire in 30 minutes' is this also legit or?

It sounds genuine to me, certainly the sort of wording & terminology EE would use. Although posting your PINs on the open internet isn't the best idea....

This is a scam. I had the same today and they asked for my email address and said they would send me a PIN. They also offered a discount on my line rental. I declined the offer and called EE and they confirmed it was a scam call.
