Get PAC without being able to text message?

I've moved away from EE because they charge for EU roaming. But I'd like to transfer the phone number except that it doesn't seem to work because I haven't used it for a few months, so I can't send the PAC request text. Thus I need an alternative method . . .

@David888 was this a contact or PAYG sim ? If on PAYG you might want to read THIS as I expect that the issue is because the sim is in hibernation. If was on contract and you terminate that contract without moving your number then you don’t have a number to move as it was terminated without requesting to move it so it’s gone for good.
