does simply requesting a PAC from voxi and then resubmitting it to voxi work to keep my phone number and move it onto the new contract with the new sim?

No - a PAC Is used to move your number from one mobile provider to another. You request it from your current provider and then give it to your new provider - this ports your number to the new operator and auto-cancels your previous account.

Hi,

I’ve scoured all over google trying to find the answer but can only find it on EE’s page, I recently found out I’m able to get a student discount on voxi and currently am with voxi however to get the student discount I need to create a new account and get a new sim, but I need to keep the same phone number as it’s used across all my accounts, so does simply requesting a PAC from voxi and then resubmitting it to voxi work to keep my phone number and move it onto the new contract with the new sim?

PACs can't be used to port within the same network.

You need to 1st port your existing no. to another network's PAYG using a PAC from Voxi & then in reverse port it back to your new contract with Voxi. This will also have the effect of cancelling your old contract.

You could alternatively move your old contract to PAYG with 30 days notice & then ask Voxi to transfer the no to your new contract if they allow that as EE does..
