Pay-monthly phones remain active for as long as the bills are paid.

PAYG phones are subject to the hibernation policy, and are suspended after 6months of non-chargeable use. You have a further 3months grace before complete disconnection.

@deanquest45 : If you cancelled it you relinquished it for good unless you're still within your 30-day notice period & you phone CS to see if the cancellation can be stopped.
