It’s not that simple with an eSIM

The same question was posed in https://community.ee.co.uk/t5/SIM-cards-Porting/eSIM-or-physical-Sim/m-p/1340842 quite recently.

The one clear benefit is where a phone has a physical & eSIM slot, and you want to use two SIMs. One has to be electronic. The benefits are unclear otherwise, but eSIM's present a few challenges.

the thing i was thinking about is that if someone steals the phone they can just take the sim out with a physical one therefore turning find my completely off because i have no more data. with an esim they couldnt do that and find my iphone would be on
