This sounds like the SIM is not active @rustygroove.

Do you have access to another phone? if yes, please call 07953 966 250.

Our customer care team will be able to help activate this.

Do you have an EE Store nearby?

You can also pick a free replacement up from there when you visit with photo ID.

What happens when you select 'Activate my SIM' within your EE account @rustygroove?

This option can be found by following these steps:

Plans & subscriptions > Settings > Scroll down to Activate my SIM.

it says you will need your old device handy which I don't have

If you do not have your old device and unable to call please visit your local EE Store @rustygroove.

The store will be able to help activate your SIM.
