Hello! Thank you for your reply. I don't currently have one with EE but I do have one in the states with T-Mobile. Though I need a UK number so I thought the way to go about it would be getting a dual (e)sim, is that correct?

I am studying abroad from the US and am attempting to install an eSim with EE to my iPhone 12. But I am unsure how to go about it as it keeps asking me to connect a device when I don't have a number that starts with 07. I don't know the difference between a pay as you go or any of that other stuff. Please help.

@2busybee Sorry that’s not possible. ESims are for contract customers not pre pay. You are facing the issues of Apple making US iPhones eSim only. To use a pre pay EE sim you have to be able to put a sim in the device. Lycra mobile do offer eSims to pre pay customers and they use the EE network to give their customers a cellular connection. Please see THIS
