ESIM only phone

I am planning on purchasing an EE Sim only contract, switching from a different provider. The new phone I will use it for only has E-SIM capability so a traditional sim won't function with it. I can't see how to purchase an E-SIM as a new customer, but only for existing pay monthly customers. How do I purchase an E-SIM as a new contract?

Thanks for coming here.

When placing the order for a SIM Only Plan you should have the option to request an eSIM instead of a physical SIM card.

You'll be able to download your eSIM by logging in to EE. Simply follow the instructions in your confirmation email. If you’re using the EE app, make sure you're using the latest version.

Will the option to request esim appear before adding the plan to my basket or afterwards, as I can't find the option?
