Phone number held on phone differs from number ported from BT

After switching from BT mobile to EE & porting my BT number , the information held on the phone under SETTINGS /About phone shows the original EE number shows in the field PHONE number (sim slot 1). No satisfactory explanation or solution was offered by EE technical support other than to switch off & switch on!

It doesn't matter as long you can make & receive calls/texts from/to the no. you expect.
