Emergency auto call SOS service states that it requires a sim card to work. Unsure if it will work with my phone as it has an e-sim card , not a physical sim card .

@99Problems An eSim is just a digital SIM card.

Thanks! i set up e-sim during new phone set-up , without giving it too much thought. Am still unsure if i did the right thing or should have stuck with the tray sim card.
