Imported number does not show up onincoming texts, only original EE number

I moved to EE from Plusnet and tranfered my original number. This number does not show up on incoming texts in reply to my texts but defaults to original allocated number from EE

Do you mean the recipient sees the temporary number when you reply to them?

Are these being sent as standard SMS or RCS messages?

Does your phone show your temporary number in about phone in it's settings?

If it does, are you able to edit it?

Could you try turning off RCS, restarting your phone then turning it back on @Glyndwr45?

Hi James,

Well, I've tried it and it seems to have problems verifying my number for
RCS. It does say that it can take up a day, so I'm going to leave it for
now and see, but if it doesn't work I will just turn off RCS since I'm not
a great messenger and can always use WhatsApp, etc for more complex things.

In the end I've just decided to switch off RCS, but do let me know if a
solution comes up in the future.
