sim came with phone number and asked to keep my old number. now my phone has my old number but text messages are sent using the number that came with sim

Are you transferring the phone number form another network? Have you tried restarting the phone?

was with Plusnet but they stopped doing sim card deals. they recommended EE so joined them , EE sim came with new phone number but asked to keep my old number which they have done, but only for phone ,text messages are sent with number of EE sim . switch phone off every knight.
