topic Smartwatch esim in SIM cards & Porting

I have an ee contract for my phone. I am about to receive a Samsung Smartwatch 6, I have a Samsung s22. Do I need an esim for the watch if I want to make calls or send texts on the watch when I am away from my phone. I would like the watch to have the same number as my phone if that's possible.

Hello @mikethered99 ,

Welcome to the community,

If it is anything like the Apple Watch, which I believe it is, it will have an E-Sim, which you will then set up to work with your phone. It will have its own number for billing purposes, so you will be able to use it when you do not have your phone with you.

Hope this helps.
