Hi, was moved from Plusnet, kept old number and jumped thru the hoops, sim card/pac no./etc. with my iphone,

All went ok and my number changed over next day, but then had this notication from apple

"This number is registered to your Apple

ID but is not associated with this phone.

You can keep using the number for iMessage and FaceTime until it expires."

Aghh, panic ! .. went into apple/icloud settings and the temp EE number was listed as my number although it was changed over, and no way can you change it. Looked online for the fix, seems others had the same issue, but this fix was posted that works, although for iphone guess it works on other phones once you find Network Settings.

1. In Settings press Reset Phone

2. Press Reset Network Settings

Phone will shut down, then automatically turn back on. Then turn it off then on.

If you now look into apple/icloud settings your old number will be listed, not the EE temp one. None of the phone settings get changed and it will look and have the same things as before. Hope this is if some help.
