Hello all. Thanks for the replies. I managed to figure it out. My phone,(unknown to me), switched from SMS/MMS to RCS,(whatever that is), and when I inserted my new EE SIM and restarted the phone, this RCS accepted the new SIMs number before my old number ported across. I ended up turning RCS off in Messages settings, restarting the phone, going back into settings and manually entering my old number, then restarting RCS. Bingo !! Everything works as it should and my sister in law is happy too. I hope all this makes sense to you !! Once again thanks for the replies.

Hello. I recently switched from Plusnet to EE, and I asked for my old number to be ported across to my new SIM. This was completed shortly afterwards. Today I sent my sister in law a birthday text and she replied by asking who I was because she did not recognise the number. I believe it may be the original number on my new EE SIM card. Is there any way I can verify this as I have thrown away all the paperwork that came with the SIM?

Hi @Arayess57

Try restarting your your device.

Your number will be listed under your contacts and in settings. If your number is still wrong you may need to call EE CS on 150 and ask them to refresh your line.

Thanks
