I have just switched from bt mobile to ee and have a pac code to keep my old number how do I do this now my new ee sim has arrived??

Hi leanne, I moved to mobile contracts from bt to ee on Wednesday. Both me and my partner were sent Pak numbers and I wasn't really told anything else by bt. The pak worked on my wife's number so I've just to sort mine and I think the problem is the pak is the same they sent us both. I've had 3 contracts with bt and obviously there now moving everyone over to ee and it was more a push and get it done by bt, I wasn't offered any like deals that I see on ee now or the different variants of the phones I got.

Yes, I have just been sent two EE SIMs to replace BT family SIMs, they have given me SIMs with random mobile numbers on and advised me to get a PAC code to keep my BT family SIM numbers and then fill a form in. Not happy with this, not done it before, the family SIMs are in phones which belong to my sister and my daughter and their phones are not with me,

I dont think BT have thought about family SIMs at all,

You need to get the PACs from BT.

XRaySpeX thank you. The paperwork I have been sent from EE includes the
BT Family SIM number typed out on a sheet which is correct. The SIM
included with the paperwork is just a random SIM, no instructions or
anything, Nothing about a PAC or what to do. Nothing on the paperwork of
what to do if you are a BT customer. If I put the EE SIM in my daughters
phone (factory reset) how do I contact BT?

More's the point why should I be put through all this grief, they are
requesting that I do this process, moving from BT to EE. I have got a call
back booked on Saturday from a BT person, but thats a long time to wait.

I know you mentioned that you have a call back booked, but have you tried calling BT Mobile so they can answer your questions?

Hi Chris, thanks for your reply. I have decided to wait for the call
back. I spent a lot of yesterday getting passed around different call
centres and different staff. I lost the will to live, I couldn't bear
going through it all again. One member of staff told me something plain
wrong (about how the new BT/ EE billing will look)

Another sent me EE documentation docs by text which I could barely read.
An EE member of staff hardly knew about the BT/EE migration.

The BT call back person that is calling me back is at least familiar with
the details.

My husband was on Virgin Mobile which migrated to O2 recently and it just
happened with him ticking a box in an email. He just kept his old SIM in
his phone. No need to be sent a new SIM with a random number, and PAC
codes and forms involved at all.

If only it was that easy EE does not even recognise my pac code from BT this is becoming a nightmare

Oh god the 150 number which is another nightmare lots of options but getting too find the one you need or actually talk to a fellow human is the greatest challenge

Hi, I eventually I gave up. The EE contact centre person did NOT call me
back to help after 4 days with the PAC code thing. I stayed at my desk for
over an hour waiting for the timed callback.

I got back on to BT and cancelled the EE contract. I felt I was bamboozled
into going over to EE. I was advised to bin the EE SIMs (sent to replace 2
BT family SIMs). I did then receive in the post a BT replacement SIM,
which is what I wanted all along.

I have said I want to stay with BT.

When my other half moved from Virgin Mobile to O2 (a forced move), all he
had to do was place a tick in a box on an email. No fiddling about with new
SIMs and PAC codes.

The call centre person said they did not know why the BT to EE move wasn't
being handled this way. Surely it must be technically possible.
