It's not the SIM but the plan you're on that's 4G or 5G. If you've ordered a 5G phone from EE (you don't say!) it should come with a 5G plan.

I have a 4G sim on a 24 month contract (due for an upgrade). I have ordered a 5G phone. In order to get a 5G sim will EE just send me a new sim (with the same number) or do I need to enter into a new contract for a 5G sim only plan?
