topic Contract Sim Deactivated in SIM cards & Porting

Hello

I have 2 contract pay monthly lines and 2 iPhones on my account, mine and my partners.

My partners iPhone came up with ‘NO SIM’ yesterday morning, meaning no calls or texts. However, my phone and sim are fine- my line has been in use for longer than hers, her line was added roughly 18 months ago.

I called EE to find out what has happened and was told it seems her SIM has been deactivated, they could not explain what would have caused this. Very frustrating as we now have to wait for a new SIM or get to an EE store. She has used the phone consistently for the last 18 months, phone calls, SMS and mobile data.

Has anyone encountered this before?

The only usual reasons for a pay-monthly SIM to be deactivated would be non-payment of bills, or a swap of SIM for lost/stolen reasons.
