New handset

I have received a handset as a gift (LG7 4G). Can I interchange my EE sim card between both my phones and be compatible with both ?

Hi @TimCrimp1910,

Providing the phone is unlocked (which it should be these days) then you can put your EE sim card in it and it should work just fine.

Thanks Alex. That means that I can change handsets as many times as I want ? Is there any settings etc to change when have swapped the sim ?

Hi @TimCrimp1910,

The phone should just recognise the sim and begin working when inserted. Of course, it won't copy your texts/call history since they are not stored on the sim but on your device.

It's not recommended to do this because sim cards are fairly delicate and can easily become damaged by scratches etc. But if it's something you want to do then there is nothing stopping you 😊

Alex. Is it possible to also transfer and include the texts / calls to the other handset ?

Another point that you may be able to assist with. On my computer I do have both outlook and g.mail installed. I only use the g.mail but via the microsoft. Both of these are on my mobile and when a message is received it appears on my screen with both, being the same message. Can I remove either of these and how ? Tim

What handset do you currently have? there will be a way of saving your personal information such as texts and photos to transfer.

@TimCrimp1910 Your signed in to the same email account on both devices so what ever happens on one device will happen on the other. Unless you sign out of that email account on your device every will be on both devices. Your emails are on a server not your device you only access them via your device.

On your PC in your email client (whichever?) within Incoming Settings you can Remove (or don't Leave) Emails from (on) Server. Then if you read your emails on PC 1st you won't see them later on you mobile. You could even also do the reverse with mobile over PC but I prefer to have my PC as the main repository of my emails.

What do you mean by "g.mail but via the microsoft."? Is that you have the GMail server forward your emails for it to the Outlook.com server?
