I have been waiting for 48 hrs now for number to change, not a problem as it is the weekend. What i am curious about is why EE have sent me a bill for £9 ? I was led to believe all the costs (mobile / broadband / land line) would still be taken from by BT account ! All help appreciated.

Hi All, new member here.

I've been with BT Mobile for a few years and accepted BT's offer of Unlimited calls/Texts and 20GB data for £9 per month if we move to EE.

As the account holder I had two SIM-only plans with them, my own and my wife's mobile.

I phoned BT on Thursday evening and made the switch, as we both have iPhone 14’s I requested eSims and to keep our existing numbers.

I was issued with documentation containing two new temporary EE numbers and was advised these would need to be activated first before our existing numbers would port over but nothing was said about the eSims or when we would receive these and by what means…do we get a printed letter with the QR codes to activate or do we get them via the “My EE” app?
We haven’t been sent actual SIMs.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello @JayCee1949.

Welcome to the EE Community.

EE SIMs are sent via Royal Mail delivery I would recommend allowing 2-5 days to receive these.

You can get an eSIM within your My EE account, by giving us a call (QR Code will be sent) or by visiting your local EE Store.

Fair enough, but i assumed that seeing as both companies are now hand in hand the bill would be paid from my BT account. That was what i was led to believe by a BT call handler !
