Did I miss the chance of porting my old number?

Hello all

I gave the PAC code for my old number to EE and ordered a 24M sim only sim.

I have got the sim and started to use it (with new temp number) and waiting for the porting.

Just now iphone pop up a new diaglog asking me my old number is ready and do I want to keep or change numbet?

I misunderstood the meaning of keep and thought keep means I keep my old number. And i pressed keep but my phone keeps the new temp number then.

what should I do now to get my old number back?

Welcome to the EE Community.

When did you receive your new SIM?

You should receive an update once your number port has completed.

I would also recommend changing your My Number within your iPhone settings to the number being ported.

To do this follow these steps:

Settings > Phone > My Number.

i received my sim two days ago

Yes yesterday it should have been finished. My phone popped up a notification and ask me whether i changed my temp number to my old number or keep my tem number

i pressed wrong button and kept my new temp number.

i tried to change the number like you said in the settings but it cannot be changed and always came back to the new temp number.

Are you able to test this by asking someone to call your number which is coming from your old provider?

Yes, tried calling my old number, it says cannot be connected.

also trid to call another mobile and that mobile displays the new temp number
