Wrong number showing in texts

Hi. I ported my number from o2 a couple of days ago and the number that came with the new sim is still showing in texts, and on the About Phone info and in chat settings.

I'd be grateful for any advice on how to resolve this. I have a Sony Xperia 5.

Is this impacting any features on the phone?

Can you make calls and send/receive texts to the correct number?

Thanks for your reply. I can make calls and receive texts to the correct number. It's only when I send texts that the wrong number shows on the recipient's phone.

Hi. You need to turn off chat features in Message Settings - I have a Sony Experia so it might be slightly different if you have a different phone.

Ha! Who knew. Thanks for the fix. Someone needs to tell Jibe and Google to fix this in their software. Simple text is enough for me. Cheers.
