Porting from vodafone

Hi I have never ported before , I received my new sim yesterday and inserted it and it registered no problem , I was told to re insert my old Vodafone sim that would then shut down at some point and my original number would then be on the new sim, then I could re insert the new sim and all would be good.

can I verify that’s the correct way to do it and how long should this take , I registered the new sim yesterday lunchtime 30th but nothing has changed as yet.

numbers are ported between networks Monday-Friday but due to the Bank Holiday it won't be transferred until Tuesday 🙂

There's no need to reinsert your VF SIM.

Once the PAC has been submitted to your new network, that serves to port the number and cancel any previous contract.
