Hi Ibrahim, why don't you apply for either a provisional/ driving licence if you don't have a full UK driving license or apply for a passport?

New UK adult passports take anything between 2-10 weeks to come through.

That way you can prove your ID in an EE store & can continue to use your contract SIM for the rest of the contract period when they issue you with a new one and you can get rid of Giffgaff so you're not paying double.

Might as well use some of the contract than none of it and plus these IDs will come in handy for you all the time.

Hope this helps a bit.

Hi there,

I have a pay monthly contract with EE. I moved from physical sim to esim two months ago. I now need to send my phone off for repair which will take a week or so. The temp phone I will be using doesn’t support esim.

The physical sim is inactive. Does anyone know if it can be reactivates if I call EE with the serial or do they need to send a new physical sim?

I’m currently abroad for a month hence the complication in getting a new physical sim!

I accidentally activated E-Sim while setting up my new iPhone 14 pro then I deleted the E-Sim because I thought my physical sim will reactivate I never thought I’m gonna lose both then I went to the EE branch they asked for passport or uk driving license which I do not have any of them showed them my application registration card they didn’t accept it and I called the EE customer service they asked me some security questions I got them wrong then they said we can’t do anything if we can’t get through the security questions so now I’m on 24 months plan contract I literally haven’t even used the EE Sim for a day so I’m using the giffgaff sim and on contract with EE paying for no reason. I literally brought more than 10 people to EE never thought EE would let me down like that thanks for your help.

Hi @Ibrahem

Welcome to the community.

We take security very seriously here at EE and the accepted proofs of ID are chosen very carefully. If you're unable to answer the security questions, you would need to show a passport or UK driving license in an EE store.
