Hi, I'd just like to say how seamless this was for me:

1) Go to MyEE, found the esim link and clicked through to get to the QR code page.

2) Go to Sim in android settings and press the plus button, select esim, and scan the QR Code.

3) A minute later, telephone calls were working on my esim. Disabled old physical sim.

4) About two hours later 4g (no 5g in Sale yet) kicked in, before that it was just showing "H" and allowing phone calls.

So, I'd say that was a win - I was concerned that with so many payments authentications being verified by SMS these days that my phone would be out of service for a while, but that was not the case. So, in case people are searching the forum for esim stories and help, here's one that went very well.
