SIM swap?

I have an essential device SIM in a tablet that my daughter uses. She has WhatsApp on it to talk to friends and family. Is there any way of using the SIM in a phone so she'll keep the same number but also use it for normal phone calls/texting? Will I have to wait till the contract is up and change it if possible?

Yes - just put the SIM in any phone that has the correct size SIM slot and it should work. Providing the phone is not SIM-locked to another network, and the only way of testing that is to try.

It is an EE SIM that's in the tablet, it's just a data only one but if she's using it in a mobile phone I'll need a plan with texts/minutes

@JCB88 customer service can change it from a tablet plan to a mobile plan.

That's great, do I have to wait until the end of the contract or can I do that part way through? Contracts not up till November next year
