new sim, old number wanted kept

Can anyone help me please, my son has a PAYG sim on EE but ive just bought a monthly on my account so i can gift him data. Hes's adamant he needs his old number. Is there a simple way we can just use his old number on the new sim? I dont want to be charged for this as its within the same network. Appreciate any help that can be offered as I have a stressed 15 yr old here!!! TIA

Thanks for coming here.

If the number is on pay as you go, please call us on 150 and the team can set up the number transfer to the pay monthly number for you.

If you'd not already bought the new SIM/phone, you could also have used the switch to pay monthly facility. Now you have, then call EE C/S as advised above.
