The ‘your number has been ported over’ text gives the answer to your question. I’ve tried what you suggested but doesn’t work.

I’ve brought my number over to EE. I’ve done the pac but the sim number is showing when I message people.

I know with iPhones you have to change the number in settings but when I try whenever I click save the sim number reappears.

One solution they mention online is turn iMessage off then on. That doesn’t work.

@Username5025 You cannot change the number yourself within settings it is all done from the Sim card itself automatically. when you turn off iMessage you also need to turn off FaceTime and you need to restart the device then check your number within settings phone and if it’s correct you can then enable iMessage and FaceTime. When did you move over to EE ? As Number migrations do not happen over the weekend so if this was Friday it would’ve been started until today and your number will be fully ported over by tomorrow.
