Hello, I have a fairly basic Nokia mobile phone. I have two MMS notifications stuck on my home screen for about a month and can find no way to get rid of them (the normally disappear when I have read the MMS). Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

Send yourself or get someone to send you an MMS. Read it & delete it. Does the notification disappear?

I've received lots of MMS messages since this happened, the notifications all disappeared as soon as I read the mesages. But these two have stuck.

They just say MMS Multimedia Message - I'm not sure a photo of that would help.

Hey there @Serenissima.

Have you checked to ensure that all messages on your handset have been read?

It could be a case that there are some older unread messages that are outstanding.

If you haven't already, it's worth saving the images you want to keep, and then deleting any other messages.

Finally I'd recommend checking to ensure you have at least 10% of your handset's storage remaining, and checking for any potential software updates for the handset too.

Let us know how you get on!

Peter

Thanks Peter. I have no older unread messages. I don't save many messages or images. My software is up to date. There's plenty of storage left. I have a feeling I'm going to have to restore factory settings??

Thanks for checking those things for me, @Serenissima.

If deleting these messages directly still won't clear the notification, then that may be the last step to look into.

It's hard to advise specifically without knowing the device, but I would be inclined to think it's a device issue rather than something at a network level.

Just to be sure though, it could be worth reaching out to our technical team so we can be sure that we've double checked everything at our end too.
