I have a sim with 1P mobile/EE, but I can't figure out if it's unlocked or not.

I read that most EE phones are unlocked, but I've checked my settings and it doesn't allow me to change carrier, so does this mean it is locked?

I've also tried entering my IMEI on EE's website but it won't accept the IMEI number. When I enter my IMEI number, it says there was a mistake on EE's end vs when I enter a random one, it says the number is incorrect. My phone has two IMEI numbers for each sim slot and I tried both.

Should I call EE or 1p mobile? My phone is a nokia C10.

The setting you're using to check, I suspect, is the network selection menu. This isn't checking for unlocking, but for your existing SIM's ability to roam onto another network.

EE may be 1p-Mobile's host network, but if your SIM is provided by 1p, you are a 1p-Mobile customer. Your CS point of contact is therefore 1p-Mobile.

The test of whether a phone is network-locked, is to use a SIM from a network other than that which supplied it. Any device purchased since December 2021 should not be locked.
