Phone problem while in call

Every time I ring out of receive a call the other person tells me it sounds like I'm under water.. but I have put my SIM card in 2 different phones and it's still the same problem . Any ideas

I could imagine that to be very frustrating.

Just to double check have you tried a different sim card in your phone?

Does it sound the same when you have the phone on loud speaker?

Can you hear the other person fine?

I suspect the phenomenon you're describing is what some people call "dalek speech" and can sometimes be a symptom of poor coverage.

Can you use mobile data whilst on a call? This is a test of whether you're using 4G-calling.

Do you get this issue in specific locations, or is it more general? There is an option on the network status tool, to "report a problem", and one reportable issue is "in-call audio issues"
