Can EE enable WIFI calling on Sony XZ2?

I'm trying to get WIFI calling on a Sony XZ2. Vague threads around the internet suggest for this particular phone, EE must enable WIFI calling (certify/authenticate etc) the phone type perhaps through my account. Any experience out there? Something to do with VoLTE I think...?

Yes, the XZ2 is capable. Yes, I've been through all the menus, even a hidden menu or 2. The option simply isn't there, except in a hidden menu where it's greyed out. But the EE website basically says just enable it!
