TEXT NOTIFICATION

On occasion when I receive a text there is no notification & it simply drops into the senders box so unless I spot it I don’t know it exists.

Hi Jon,

The phone - which I’ve only had for a few weeks - is a Samsung A13.

I would say the problem occurs 10% of the time.

In addition, I’ve been told by a couple of friends that they’ve sent me texts which I never received!

What phone were you previously using before this one?

Do you receive phone calls without issue?

Previous phone was a Samsung, but a different model & I never had this issue.
Calls seem to be ok.
Text from my wife earlier did not not beep to alert me. This happens intermittently.

Do you still have the old phone?

If so, are you able to try using your SIM in the old phone for a few hours?

This will help to confirm that the problem lies with the phone and not the SIM, and at that point we can look into resetting the network settings or the whole phone.
