Removing Safe Search (without credit card)

I want to know why I have to proof my age to remove Safesearch. I am clearly a EE member as such they know all my personal details. Also I don't own a credit card and haven't got time to go into EE shop to get it removed. EE knows I'm over 18. What's the problem???

@Sensi101 who’s not to say you’ve given the device to a child ? You might be the account holder but it doesn’t mean you’re the user of the device.

Are you on contract or PAYG?

On Contract: Follow Switching Content Lock OFF or ON .
On PAYG: You can't control Content Lock from your MyEE. Instead you need to call EE with a credit card handy & pay a refundable token amount to prove you are over 18. Alternatively you can visit an EE store with some photo ID.
