My son’s mobile contract is with 3. On the last three occasions he has called me from his mobile my phone has registered a different mobile number than his 3 number (states caller unknown). If I answer it’s him ion the other end of the phone. However if I try calling the numbers back they state that they are EE numbers and that person I am calling is not available. How can this happen?

My phone always m tellls me who the incoming call is from. Where it’s not
a known contact it’s says ‘unknown caller’.

Frankly though I think that’s a lot less concerning than the fact that my
sons 3 phone called me from 3 different EE phone number n he has no
contracts with EE ……. SURELY THAT SHOULDN’T BE **bleep**IBLE!

OIC! It's not in you contact list. Not the usual meaning of "caller unknown" which would be displayed on your phone when the calling number is withheld.
