just had a call from 028 7911 9563. caller difficult to understand and she was offering to change my contract to £8 but keeping my number etc

It isn't on our list of approved partners. It may be worth sending a message to 7726 with the number that called you.

If you would like to discuss your upgrade options, I'd recommend calling 150 from your EE phone.
